    The article sought to analyze the contribution of the (PNAIC) National Pact for Literacy in the Right Age program established by Administrative Rule nº. 867 of July 4, 2012, for the development of reading and writing, forming a commitment of the Federal, State and Municipal Government in order to ensure that children up to eight years of age were literate by the end of the third year of Elementary School. The research had qualitative approach of the descriptive type, data collection was given by observations and interviews with the subjects, 03 literacy teachers and 01 coordinator and 60 students aged eight years. However, the PNAIC was verified in the context of teacher education, as well as its applicability in the teaching-learning process, thus reaffirming the validity of the PNAIC as a training policy for the improvement of educational outcomes; The desired goal for education.

    O artigo buscou analisar a contribuição do (PNAIC) Pacto Nacional pela Alfabetização na Idade Certa programa instituído pela Portaria nº. 867 de 4 de Julho de 2012, para o desenvolvimento da leitura e da escrita configurando-se em um compromisso do Governo Federal, Estadual e Municipal no intuito de garantir que as crianças de até oito anos de idade estivessem alfabetizadas, ao concluírem o 3º ano do Ensino Fundamental. A pesquisa teve enfoque qualitativo do tipo descritivo, coleta dos dados se deu por observações e entrevistas junto aos sujeitos, 03 professores alfabetizadores e 01 coordenador e 60 alunos com idade de oito anos. Contudo, averiguou-se o PNAIC no contexto da formação docente, bem como, sua aplicabilidade no processo de ensino aprendizagem, assim sendo, reafirma-se a vigência do PNAIC como política de formação para a melhoria dos resultados educacionais, no entanto, ainda aquém da meta desejada para a educação.
