Ensino superior: a importância da educação acadêmica universitária para a pessoa idosa.

    The purpose of this article was to understand the factors that led to the return of the elderly to universities, after a period away from school banks, how this public can interact in the didactic dynamics of everyday college education, with the role of the teacher in the middle the new Reality. The methodology used was the bibliographic research of the descriptive type. The bibliography focused on pointing out the evolution of the elderly, the importance of the teacher in the permanence of the elderly person in the universe of college education and some Brazilian indices of the elderly who returned to education after 60 years, making possible the understanding and improvement of this important theme for Society in general. With the accomplishment of this research, it is concluded that the main reason that led the return of the elderly person to the university world was, mainly, to have a different and significant aging, through the construction of new ideals and positivism.

    Este artigo teve por objetivo entender os fatores que impulsionaram o retorno da pessoa idosa para as universidades, após um longo período afastado dos bancos escolares, como este público consegue interagir na dinâmica didática do cotidiano do ensino superior, com o papel do professor em meio a nova realidade. A metodologia utilizada foi à pesquisa bibliográfica do tipo descritiva. A bibliografia focou em apontar a evolução da terceira idade, a importância do professor na permanência da pessoa idosa no universo da educação superior e alguns índices brasileiros de idosos que voltaram à educação depois dos 60 anos, possibilitando o entendimento e o aprimoramento dessa importante temática para a sociedade em geral. Com a concretização desta pesquisa conclui-se que, o principal motivo que levou o retorno da pessoa idosa ao mundo universitário foi, principalmente, poder ter um envelhecimento diferente e significativo, através da construção de novos ideais e positivismo.
