Resumen de The initiation, organisation and logistics of part-time final-year projects
This paper presents details concerning the co-ordination [1] of the final year project programme ofthe part-time B.Eng. (Mechanical) degree programme of the School of Mechanical and Produc-tion Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. It also provides details on how thepower of information technology is utilised to facilitate an efficient and effective co-ordination taskall the way from project proposal stage through project selection, balloting and allocation, to oralpresentation scheduling. The procedure presented in the paper for part-time final year projects isunderstood to exist in Continental Europe for full-time final-year projects, but in general they arenot so well structured administratively
