    Un padre no puede renunciar a la patria potestad sobre sus hi- jos menores como excusa para eludir el cumplimiento de sus obligaciones, pues dicha decisión responde al propio interés del padre y no al interés y beneficio del menor. Los deberes que son inherentes a la patria potestad son inexcusables al estar establecidos en favor del menor.
