    La “Vida del protopope Avvakúm, escrita por él mismo” es un libro único dentro de la literatura universal. De contenido muy complejo, muestra algunos puntos en común con “El ingenioso hidalgo Don quijote de la Mancha”, en especial, el quijotismo “a lo divino” de su autor y protagonista. Dada la prácticamente imposible influencia cervantina, dichos puntos en común, no casuales, reflejan, por un lado, la añoranza de la Edad Media y el rechazo a los cambios traídos por el Renacimiento, y, por otro, la violencia que imperaba en las relaciones humanas de aquellos duros tiempos.

    The “Life of archpriest Avvakum, written by himself “ is an extraordinary book in world literature. Its content is very complex and shows some similarities with “The Ingenious Hidalgo Don Quixote”, in particular the “divine quixotism” of the author and protagonist. Given the impossibility of influence from Cervantes, these points in common, not by sheer chance, reflect, on the one hand, the longing for the Middle Ages and the rejection of the changes wrought by the Renaissance, and on the other, the violence that prevailed in human relations of those hard times.

    “Житїе протопопа Аввакума, имъ самимъ написанное” – уникальная книга в мировой литературе. В этой сложной по содержанию, книге обнаруживается сходство с романом «Хитроумный идальго Дон Кихот Ламанчский» Мигеля де Сервантеса. речь идет о феномене «божественного донкихотства» автора и героя. Данные типологические параллели не являются случайными, а отражают, с одной стороны, ключевые концепты Средневековья и отказ от изменений, вызванных эпохой Возрождения, а с другой, – насилие, которое преобладало в человеческих отношениях в это сложное время.
