Presentación de una experiencia. La Oficina Municipal de Información al Inmigrante de Málaga es un programa del Área de bienestar social y relaciones ciudadanas del Ayuntamiento de la capital que gestiona la ONGD Movimiento por la Paz, el desarme y la Libertad. Se trataba de crear un punto de información y atención que fuera un referente directo de la implicación del consistorio en las necesidades y reivindicaciones del colectivo inmigrante. La experiencia demuestra que la existencia de este tipo de programas genera otro tipo de relaciones entre la administración y el ciudadano extranjero, que van más allá de las de exclusivo carácter legal.

Presentation of an experience. The Municipal Office of Information to Immigrants (Omini) of Málaga is a programme by the Area of social welfare and citizens' relations of the City Council of the capital managed by the DNGO Movement for Peace, Disarmament and Freedom. The aim was to create an information and attention point that would be a direct point of reference for the involvement of the City Council vis-a-vis the needs and claims of the immigrant population. Experience shows that the existence of this type of programmes generates another type of relationship between the administration and foreign citizens, which go beyond the purely legal aspect.
