  • Resumen
    • Nancy Havill is a research associate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where psychologist Barbara Fredrickson has uncovered a surprising link between meditating on kind thoughts and a whole range of indicators of physical health and mental well-being. It might boost the immune system, protect people from cardiovascular disease, reduce vulnerability to stress, improve thinking and emotional control, and even raise levels of empathy, sociability and self-esteem. Perhaps too goad to be true, but, in recent years, evidence linking physical health and psychological well-being has been steadily accumulating. Here, Young investigates people could make one's body, which contains a nerve that underpins their health and happiness, work better with just the power of their mind.
