  • Resumen
    • The NASA announced its science goals for the rover, dubbed Mars 2020. Essentially a duplicate of the Curiosity rover now on friars, this robot has been tasked with searching for evidence of life and collecting and storing rock samples for return to Earth on a later mission. But the rover's approach to life-detection may be overly cautious. Mars 2020 will primarily search for signs that something lived on Mars in ancient times, even though the technology exists to hunt for alien microbes presently living on or just beneath the planet's surface.
