Resumen de Cogniçao e nivel intelectual no Rorschach de crianças dos 6 aos 10 anos

  The authors took sixteen variables from among those that form the so called cognitive triad, in the Exner’s Rorschach Comprehensive System, information processing, cognitive mediation and ideation to see how intellectual level show itself in the cognitive activity involved in the answer to the Rorschach. Two hundred and fifty nine children of both sexes, distributed by five age groups, from 6 to 10 years of age, were tested. Intellectual level was assessed with Raven Colored Progressive Matrices (CPM). Correlations between CPM raw scores and results on Rorschach variables were calculated. These correlations were then analyzed by age group, by groupings of age groups and by sub-groups obtained from the division of CMP scores distribution at the median. This analysis shows that the correlation values give consistency to the underlying hypotheses of the selected variables which, in most cases, involves intellectual operations of different complexity. The same analysis also provides also the opportunity to observe and better understand the nature and behavior of Rorschach variables.

  Tomando por base o conjunto das variáveis que, no Sistema Integrativo do Rorschach de Exner (SIR), integram a tríade cognitiva processamento da infor- mação, mediação cognitiva e ideação, os autores escolheram dezasseis variáveis para se traduz o nível intelectual, na actividade cognitiva implicada nas respos- tas ao Rorschach. A amostra examinada abrange 259 crianças de ambos os sexos, distribuídas por cinco grupos etários, dos 6 aos 10 anos. O nível intelec- tual foi avaliado mediante as Matrizes Progressiva Coloridas (MPC) de Raven.

  Calcularam-se as correlações entre os resultados brutos nas MPC e os resulta- dos nas variáveis do Rorschach. As correlações foram analisadas por grupo etá- rio, por agrupamentos destes grupos e por sub agrupamentos derivados a partir da partição dos resultados nas MPC pela mediana. A análise efectuada permite reconhecer que, com grande frequência, as correlações obtidas conferem con- sistência às hipóteses subjacentes às diversas variáveis. Estas, de modos dife- rentes, implicam operações intelectuais de complexidade variável. A mesma análise proporciona também a oportunidade de observar e compreender melhor a natureza e comportamento das variáveis do Rorschach
