The article addresses the role played by sports journalists Jacinto Miquelarena and Alberto Martín Fernández, Spectator, in the debate that would take place during the civil war around the totalitarian conception of sport. In the case of Miquelarena, we will stop previously in his journalistic collaborations in the weekly Falangista F.E. and in an analysis of his Stadium essay, halfway between the literary avant-garde and fascist aesthetics. It also aims to highlight how international events of the Second World War would end up politicizing professional careers dedicated to sport that, from that moment, would be oriented towards the adulatory chronicle towards the Third Reich.
