  • Heaven discusses the study of artificial intelligence (AI). For years, AI was dominated by grand plans to replicate the performance of the human mind. People dreamed of machines that could understand them, recognize them and help them make decisions. In the last few years they have achieved those goals. But not in the way the pioneers imagined. More than half a century ago, researchers laid out a series of goals that would bring them closer to machines with human-like intelligence.
