    En este artículo llamamos la atención sobre la falta de protección de las especies comunes. Las especies que se encuentran en peligro de extinción han llegado a esta situación porque antes no estaban protegidas, dado que eran especies comunes. No es ético dejar sin protección a animales comunes por el simple hecho de que abundan. Un gorrión no es menos valioso que un jaguar. Ambos forman parte de la maravillosa diversidad biológica que mantiene la vida en nuestro planeta.

    This article draws attention to the lack of protection of the common species. The current endangered species have got to this situation because they were unprotected, since they were common species. Leaving common species without protection just because they are plentiful is not ethical. A sparrow is not less worthy than a jaguar. Both are part of the wonderful biological diversity that preserves life in our planet.
