El teatro Victoria Eugenia es un claro exponente de la arquitectura impulsada por el imaginario burgués de comienzos del siglo XX. Este templo laico de estilo ecléctico y corte neo-renacentista, evidencia la importancia que adquirieron tanto la cultura como el ocio en la nueva urbe cosmopolita de San Sebastián. Horrez gain, estilo eklektikoa eta itxura neo-errenazentista duen tenplu laiko honek, Donostiako hiri kosmopolitan kulturak eta asiak hartutako garrantzia erakusten du. Finean, ikerketa historiko-artistiko honen bitartez proiektuaren konfigurazioa, antzokiaren eraikitzea, bere ezaugarri tipologikoak eta jasandako erreformak aztertzen dira.

Victoria Eugenia theatre is a clear example of the architecture driven by the bourgeois imaginary of the early XX century. This secular temple of eclectic and neo-renaissance style, demonstrates just as much the importance that culture and leisure achieved in the new cosmo- politan city of San Sebastián. To sum up, this historical-artistic research study focuses on the most relevant aspects of the set up of the project, the construction of the building, its typology features and its reforms.
