This short contribution presents two cases of “identification” of the subject of two anonymous Sicilian drawings of seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. By proposing that those are the architectural complex of the Carmelite convent in Modica and the longitudinal section of the church of the Jesuits’ College in Messina, the author highlights how the approach used and the analysis of some apparently minor details made it possible to formulate the proposal itself.
