    El presente trabajo ofrece una breve semblanza de la vida y obras del profesor de Teología Baltasar Sorió, O.P. (c.1457-1557) y un estudio específico de su pieza teatral, Oratio litteralis in Christi Nativitate(Valentiae: J. Jofré, c. 1513), representada en Navidad en el convento de Sant Mateu (València). Se trata de un sermón en la tradición medieval del Ordo Prophetarumcon los poemas de tres Sibilas (Cumana, Erytraea y Tiburtina [con el emperador Augusto] de las que editamos texto con traducción) y cuatro profetas (Abraam, David, Juan el Evangelista y un cuarto, poco habitual, que es el autor patrístico Ephraem Syrus, de cuya alocución poética editamosun fragmento con traducción). Se ofrecen algunas fuentes, en la medida en que la selva sibilina lo permite.

    The paper presents some notes on the life and works of the Dominican Baltasar Sorió, professor in Theology (c.1457-1557) and a specific study of his drama Oratio litteralis in Christi Nativitate(Valentiae: J. Jofré, c. 1513), that was performed in Christmas in the Dominican monastery of Sant Mateu (Valencia). It is a homily in the medieval tradition of the Ordo Prophetarumwith the poems of three Sibyls (Cumana, Erytraea and Tiburtina [with the emperor Augustus] edited here with translation) and four prophets (Abraam, David, John the Evangelist and a fourth, not usually present in this context, the father EphraemSyrus). I have tried also to offer some notes on the Quellenforschungof the texts, in the measure of my possibilities.
