Observaciones sobre la negación asturiana: comparación con otros idiomas romances

    Ye l’oxetu d’esti artículu presentar dalgunes de les carauterístiques más destacaes de la morfosintaxis de la negación n’asturianu. Tomando como base los datos recoyíos en delles de les monografíes dialeutales, y más en particular la de la fala de L.lena, quieren referise en concreto dalgunos aspeutos de la distribución de la negación y de los morfemes negativos. En tou casu ha dexase claro que la presentación ufierta namái una descripción parcial de la negación y que fadríen falta investigaciones muncho más exhaustives al respeutive d’ello. Faise por describir les carauterístiques de les variantes nun, nu y nɔŋ afitando la comparanza con oposiciones asemeyaes que se rexistren n’otros idiomes románicos. Asina mismo trátase un fenómenu enforma menos discutíu hasta’l momentu na nuesa estaya d’estudiu: el fenómenu de la negación holofrástica (i.e. «¡no!»). Dellos estudios recién trataron d’incluyir la problemática de les palabres holofrástiques nel cuadru de los fenómenos de la elipsis. Afitándose en datos asturianos y románicos, discutiráse la naturaleza y les propiedaes de les palabres negatives holofrástiques, non solo dende’l puntu de vista de la sintaxis, sinón tamién dende’l puntu de vista de la comunicación humana. Estructuralmente y no que cinca a los conteníos del artículu, preséntense en primer llugar dalgunas observaciones xenerales sobro la tipoloxía de la negación y discútese llueu’l fenómenu d’alomorfía que, na opinión del autor, afectaría a la negación asturiana. Na última parte de la presentación detendrémonos sobro la cuestión de les construcciónes elíptiques y fadránse unes observaciones sobre’l problema de la negación holofrástica.

    The purpose of this paper is to present some of the most prominent aspects of the morphosyntax of negation in Asturian. Taking as a basis some dialectal monographs, particularly the one covering the speech of L.lena, we wish to examine some aspects of the distribution of negation and negative morphemes. In any case, it must be made clear that the discussion provides only a partial description of negation and much more exhaustive research needs to be done in this respect. We will attempt at describing the characteristics of the variants nun, nu and nɔŋ by establishing a comparison with similar negative particles which can be found in other Romance languages. Likewise, we will deal with a phenomenon which has been much less discussed so far in our field of study: the phenomenon of holophrastic negation (i.e. «¡no!»). Several recent studies have tried to address the issue of holophrastic words from the angle of ellipsis phenomena. Using Asturian and Romance data, we will examine the nature and the features of holophrastic negative words from the point of view of both syntax and human communication. Regarding the structure and the contents of the paper, firstly some general remarks on the typology of negation are made. After that, the phenomenon of allomorphy, which in our opinion influences negation in Asturian, is explored. Finally, we will approach the question of elliptical constructions and we will provide some notes on the problem of holophrastic negation.
