Resumen de The Situation in the Far East before the First Sino-Japanese War

Aleš Skřivan Sr., Ales Skrivan Jr.

  • The Sino-Japanese war (1894-1895) became an important milestone in the history of international relations. The war had far-reaching consequences for Japan, China and Korea. The victory of Japan had significant psychological impact on Beijing and deprived Middle Kingdom of its key position in the Far East. During the war, the modern international order of the Far East was born. International politics became truly global with the advent of new Great Power, Japan. With respect to these facts, research of the reasons for the conflict, an exploration of important relevant political circumstances and an analysis of general international background of the war seem to be significant and challenging tasks.
