    El geógrafo ceutí al-Idrīsī (siglo XII) ofrece en su libro un relato conocido como el de los “Aventureros de Lisboa”, en el cual se recogen datos que podemos relacionar con las primeras navegaciones fenicias en aguas del Océano Atlántico. En dicho relato podemos encontrar retazos de información muy similar a la acumulada en los periplos de la Antigüedad, dado el gran interés que muestra por cuestiones de carácter náutico.

    Al-Idrisi, the 12th century geographer from Ceuta, offers in his book a story known as “Adventurers of Lisbon”, where he collects information which can be related to the first Phoenician navigations in waters of the Atlantic Ocean. We can also find snippets of information which seem to be very similar to the stories gathered in the long voyages of Antiquity in the way they both show great interest in nautical matters.
