  • Bergnes de las Casas was an outstanding promoter of the study of Ancient Greek at the University of Barcelone. He was also a philosopher, a pedagogue and a publisher within the Catalan Romantic movement and an important landmark for the humanities of the 19th and 20th centuries in Spain.
