    The PADEN project proposes to non-French speaking students of French Engineering Schools an e-training in the field of French for communication in a scientific context. The environment focuses on the student, his/her characteristics and his/her needs. This paper presents the PADEN project and the way by which the distance-learning environment has taken the expectations and needs of non-French speaking students into account. It draws up the assessment of the experimentations of the distance-learning environment and explains the ensuing evolutions.

    Le projet PADEN vise à proposer à distance une formation en méthodologie à dimension interculturelle, en langue française, aux futurs élèves non francophones des grandes écoles d’ingénieurs françaises partenaires du projet. Le dispositif de formation à distance ainsi décliné est centré sur cet apprenant aux caractéristiques particulières et besoins en méthodologie pour une réelle intégration. Cet article présente le projet PADEN en se focalisant sur la manière dont le dispositif de formation a tenu compte de l’apprenant, de ses besoins, de ses attentes. Il dresse par ailleurs le bilan de ses expérimentations et les évolutions qui en découlent.
