    The present article aims to clarify the relationship between hypertension and the cultural habits of the remaining quilombola community, Cruzeirinho de Cima. To do this, we will first take a brief look at the history of the place, in order to identify the space that will be problematized, then the relationship of cultural habits and their propensity to hypertention, and the process of healing and conception of health.

    O presente artigo tem como objetivo buscar esclarecer a relação entre a hipertensão e os hábitos culturais da comunidade remanescente quilombola, Cruzeirinho de Cima. Para isso, inicialmente faremos um breve apanhado da história do lugar, a fim de identificar o espaço que será problematizado, em seguida, a relação dos hábitos culturais e a sua propensão a hipertensão, e o processo de cura e concepção de saúde.
