Resumen de Imágenes y visiones de Beatriz

The essay takes as its starting point the “unreality” of the image of Beatrice (her image is that of memories, especially the memory of a series of visions), and the “mobility” of this image: there is not one Beatrice but many Beatrices depending on the aspects of the anima-archetype which the poet focuses on her, and depending also on how these aspects move from a sensory eros, rooted in the body, to a high eros of religious and spiritual devotion. We analyse in this sense images of Beatrice belonging to the Vita nuova and to the Paradise of the Commedia.

Si parte in questo studio dall’idea della “irrealtà” di Beatrice (la sua è una immagine del ricordo, soprattutto del ricordo di una serie di visioni), e della “mobilità” di questa immagine: non c’è una Beatrice ma tante Beatrici, secondo i diversi aspetti dell’archetipo dell’anima che su di lei proietti il poeta, e secondo questi aspetti si spostino da un eros sensoriale, radicato nel corpo, verso un eros inalzato a devozione religiosa e spirituale. Partendo da queste premesse, si analizzano diverse immagini di Beatrice nella Vita nuova e nel Paradiso della Commedia.
