  Se propone una reflexión sobre el legado de Chillida desde las nociones de límite y de horizonte, a la vista de su obra y de sus escritos y en relación con algunos filósofos contemporáneos, especialmente Heidegger. Chillida nos descubre el espacio como lugar en el límite entre lo lleno y lo vacío, nos invita a habitarlo y a habitar ese lugar que nos trasciende a la vez que nos orienta, que es el horizonte, un horizonte siempre dinámico y que podemos compartir como la patria de todos los hombres. La noción activa de espacio y de lugar que tiene lugar en la obra de Chillida nos ofrece importantes claves no sólo para afrontar la creación contemporánea, sino la existencia compartida como seres humanos.

  I would like to propose a reflection regarding the legacy of Chillida from the perspective of the concepts of limit and horizon. This reflection focuses on his work and his writings in relationship with contemporary philosophers, specifically, Heidegger. Chillida discovers us the space as place in the limit between plenty and empty; he invites to dwell it, and to dwell that place which transcends us at the time it orients us: the horizon. The concept of horizon which is always active, and one in which we can share with all humanity. This active notion of space and place, which plays an important role in Chillida’s work gives us important keys to confront contemporary creation and as a way of sharing existence as human beings.
