Resumen de Extensão universitária e o turismo social: Despertando emoções e promovendo a inclusão social

  This study reports the experiences and the feelings awakened in participants during the tours conducted in the Mangal das Garças Park and Cultural Tancredo Neves Foundation as part of their engagement in the University Outreach Project “Poverty and environment between generations”. The project involved documentary and bibliographical research in addition to action research. The data collection instruments included interviews, essays, informal conversations, photographic records and direct observations. The data analysis indicated that the tourist activities within the project allowed the awakening of many feelings and sensations, the interest in studies and for the culture of the city as well as the stimulation of memory. In the case of the elderly, the activities allowed them to revisit the past. As for the children, the activities represented opportunities for learning outside the school walls. Therefore, it was observed that city tours are important tools for education, social inclusion and for the practice citizenship through leisure activities.

  Este trabalho objetiva relatar as experiências e os sentimentos despertados nos participantes do Projeto de Extensão Universitária “Pobreza e meio ambiente entre gerações”, durante os passeios realizados no Parque Mangal das Garças e na Fundação Cultural Tancredo Neves. Para tanto, foram realizadas pesquisas documentais, bibliográficas e uma pesquisa-ação, sendo entrevistas, produções de redações, conversas informais, registros fotográficos e observações diretas os instrumentos de coleta de dados utilizados. Os dados indicaram que as atividades turísticas dentro do Projeto permitiram o despertar de inúmeros sentimentos, sensações, interesses pelos estudos, pela cultura da cidade e o estímulo da memória, pois possibilitou um reencontro com o passado, no caso dos idosos, e com as crianças um aprendizado fora dos muros da escola. Deste modo, observou-se que passeios turísticos pela cidade são importantes ferramentas de educação, inclusão social e exercício da cidadania pelo lazer.
