    La frecuencia de la periostitis tibia! en el corredor de fondo y medio fondo y la escasez de información tanto sobre la patología como del tratamiento de la misma, nos ha motivado a realizar este trabajo y, de alguna forma, a aglutinar los diferentes tratamientos fisioterapéuticos que se pueden realizar en esta patología propia de deportistas, sin perder de vista otros posibles tratamientos propios de otros profesionales que forman parte del equipo multidisciplinar de cualquier modalidad deportiva.
