    Los lugares comunes sobre lo que ocurrió con la Filosofía española tras la victoria rebelde de 1939 y el proceso de depuración del profesorado, se han venido revisando desde la actual Sociología de la Filosofía. Esta es una perspectiva investigadora que durante la última década ha generado una serie de trabajos que clarifican y contradicen algunas de las afirmaciones corrientes sobre el campo intelectual y académico del franquismo. Sirviéndose de sus herramientas, la presente investigación, que combina análisis documental de archivo y revisión bibliográfica, replanteará lo que se ha venido afirmando sobre la filosofía española durante el primer franquismo y presentará nuevas perspectivas para intentar elaborar un conocimiento más crítico y reflexivo de ese importante momento de la historia intelectual de la España contemporánea. El centro de análisis lo ocupará el Instituto de Filosofía Luis Vives y su funcionamiento, planteando desde ahí una reflexión sobre el neo-tomismo y sobre los modelos de transmisión filosófica que entraron en pugna durante la dictadura.

    The commonplaces about what happened with the Spanish Philosophy after the rebellious victory of 1939 and the process of “purification” (i.e. the purge) of the teaching staff, have been reviewed from the current Sociology of Philosophy. This is a research perspective that during the last decade has been generating a series of works that clarify and contradict some of the most common statements about the intellectual and academic field during Francoism.

    This research, which combines archival documentary analysis and bibliographic review, will restate what has been asserting about Spanish philosophy during the first Francoism and will try to give a new perspective in order to develop a more critical and reflective knowledge of this important moment of the intellectual history of contemporary Spain. The Institute of Philosophy Luis Vives and its functioning will be the center of the present analysis, then a observation will be made on neo-Thomism as well as on the different models of philosophical transmission that entered into conflict among them during the dictatorship.
