    Las expresiones en animación son la base de todo personaje, han evolucionado con el paso del tiempo para convertirse en un recurso narrativo más potente a través de las microexpresiones. Principalmente, en el cine de animación, son utilizadas para mostrar un énfasis puntual de un sentimiento del personaje en un instante concreto; mientras que en los videojuegos la implicación y el mayor tiempo invertido del espectador y jugador, han hecho que sea cada vez más utilizado para contar subtramas de la historia principal mostrada en pantalla, dándole mayor veracidad.

    Expressions in animation are the basis of the whole character, which have evolved over time to become a more powerful narrative resource through micro-expressions.
