Within the framework of the culturalist turn of Spanish historiography and the incorporation of new sociological views, but also in the context of a critical political and social situation with its canonical interpretation, the Spanish Transition is being analysed from new points of view. Thus, the study of pop-rock music and culture that was made in the Spain of those years (1975-1985) is bringing to light forgotten political and social actors, as well as discourses, representations and problems of no interest to the dominant version of the Transition. In this sense, from a sociological perspective for which power continues to be the focus of attention, the connections that the changes in the cultural field had with the political and the social are shown, and the mechanisms by which certain cultural productions such as the "Movida madrileña" were consecrated are explained - and others were excluded. In short, we try to understand how to construct an aesthetic canon without forgetting the violence of the fractures that constitute this consensus.
