  • The article features Tadeusz Kantor, a Polish artist. Some of the recurring themes in his work are cited, including societal repression, defenselessness and cultural waste. He is known as a pioneering reformer of the theater whose main goal is to bridge the distance between the state and the real life. His works are comprised of paintings, sculptural props and costumes and collages. His theater work includes "The Dead Class" and "Machine of Love and Death."
