The article profiles Susan Hefuna, a German-Egyptian artist involved in MAPPING VIENNA, a site-specific project in Austria developed and undertaken in cooperation with Grita Insam gallery. She designed body-length cloaks to be worn at the annual Opernball in Vienna. Drawing is an integral part of her work, which involves ink and pencil on multiple layers of tracing paper. She collaborated with the Freud Museum for the display of a series of wooden masks hung on walls.
