The article reflects on the work of Art & Language, a group of conceptual artists founded in 1967/68. In May 1969, Michael Baldwin, David Bainbridge, Terry Atkinson and Harold Hurrell edited the first volume of "Art-Language: The Journal of Conceptual Art." The group was joined by art critic Charles Harrison and artist Mel Ramsden. By 1977, the group viewed painting as an installation and as a vehicle for representing their reflections. Its writings were said to be the most fundamental elements of its heritage.
