  • The article focuses on the Russian activist group Voina. The trial of Voina members Oleg Vorotnikov and Leonid Nikolaev following their arrest on charges of criminal mischief motivated by national hostility was used by the group as a direct confrontation of the legislative system. Vooina won the State Prize for Innovation amid the trial. One of Voina's recent works is the phallus called "Giant Galactic Space Dick" on a drawbridge. Alexei Plutser-Sarno, chief spokesman of Voina, considered the prize as mafia money which is intended to buy up artists.
