Resumen de ON UNDERWEAR MAKERS AND POPES WITH A HEALTHY LIBIDO.
In this article the author discusses the April 6, 2011 dismissal of Jack Persekian from his position as the director of the Sharjah Art Foundation in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. Particular focus is given to the controversy surrounding a multimedia art installation by the artist Mustapha Benfodil titled "Maportaliche / Ecritures Sauvages." The relationship between art, politics and religion is also discussed.
