The article discusses the work of the Chinese artist Liu Ding. Special emphasis is given to his 2008 installation "Gravestone for a Rumor Monger," which came about as a result of unfounded allegations of plagiarism leveled at the artist. Also discussed is his ongoing series of works titled "Liu Ding's Store" in which the artist explores the politics of value.
