  • The article reflects on the music culture in the early 2000s along with emergence of house music from disco and soul music. It discusses the Free Tekno movement which emphasized collaboration between techno culture and squatter ideology, utilizing practical open spaces for the purposes of noncommercial parties. It also offers information on the Defqon.l dance event in Biddinghuizen, the Netherlands.
