This paper describes the archaeological project carried out in what was formerly known as the Eskalmendi II mound which, following the information gathered, is now called the Lakondoa or Pariburu Dolmen. The excavation of five radial ditches and a central sondage revealed a large round structure measuring between 62 m and 65 m in diameter, with a 250 m perimeter and covering a surface area of 3,100 m2. A rocky core was identified in the centre, formed by a tumulus measuring between 9 m and 11 m in diameter, which covered a possible megalithic burial chamber formed by at least five orthostates. A second tumulus covers the entire ensemble. This tumulus is built from plastic clay, segmented by one or more concentric rings of pebbles.
