  • The article offers information on the essay published by Josef Strau on the idea of the non-productive attitude wherein he looked back in Cologne, Germany art scene during the 1980s in the 2006 exhibition catalogue, "Make Your Own Life: Artists In & Out Cologne." It discusses the counterpart of Strau show's, "Voices and Substitutes," in which he made an installation of floor lamps, metal wire, adhesive tape, and handwritten tags. Strau's work presents his insights about the world of arts.
