  • The article profiles Rome, Italy-based painter Cy Twombly. Twombly had his first exhibition in Rome at La Tartaruga. His paintings had been described as reticent and silent. According to the author, Twombly's works during the 1970s represent mythological themes tied to beauty, such as the birth of Venus and Apollo. Some of the most notable works of the painter are discussed in the article.
