  • The article reports on the auction of Damien Hirst's artworks at Sotheby. According to the author, the artworks garnered 111.4 million pounds in total in two days of auction. The biggest Hirst sale during the auction was "The Golden Calf" which was sold for 10.35 million pounds. Hirst cut out the middlemen of galleries and bypassed their commission, the author reports.
