  • The article presents the views of Volker Diehl of Galerie Volker Diehl in Berlin, Germany on the status of art fairs and auctions and their effect on individual galleries. Diehl believes that art fairs are an important platform for presenting gallery artists and for making new contracts and strengthening existing contracts. He thinks that participating in art fairs should be a strategic decision. He mentions that results of the auction can help to know the market value of artists.
