The article discusses the state of the arts industry in China. According to the author, foreign artists are able to bring fresh outlooks to Beijing and initiate dialogue with the local community. She adds that Chinese artists spent their whole lives in a fast developing, globalized consumer group, surrounded by advertising, television and all types of media. A brief description of works of various artists including Li Bo, Jia Aili and Zhou Yilun is presented.
