  • The article reports on the launch of the Beirut Art Center (BAC) in Beirut, Lebanon. The opening is a major step of the nation's aim to establish a platform to gender and showcase contemporary art in the region. Designed by architect Raed Abillama, the space will host up to four core shows per year, which comprise screening, performance and media rooms.
