  • The article profiles artist Adel Abdessemed in Algeria. It states that Abdessemed has close encounters with the monstrosities of ideology. Abdessemed completed some of his early works in Lyons, France. His sculptures, photographs and videos portray skeletons, wild beasts, and plane carcasses. His work often embodied not by a motherly image, but rather by a father figure, a male character who awkwardly carries full authority.
