  • The article features several artists in Birmingham and West Midlands in England who developed their careers while living in the region. Roger Hiorns was nominated for the 2009 Turner Prize and creates installations and sculptures using unexpected materials and juxtapositions. Meanwhile, Tessa Farmer makes beautiful sculptural installations using different dead insects, animals and organic matter. Simon and Tom Bloor create art works including sculptures which focus on socio-political history.
