    Today’s scientific positivity is fitted to the mediation of writing : what is not supposed to be accessed to in writing cannot be constituted as an object of positive knowledge. This mediation occurs in the sciences implying observations and measurements as well as in mathematics and information processing. In the particular case of predictive models, I study some fundamental consequences of this mediation : what on one side can be comprehended as a condition of possibility, can on the other side be deciphered as a limitation effec

    La positivité scientifique actuelle est ajustée sur la médiation de l’écriture : ce qui n’est pas supposé donner lieu à des écritures ne peut être constitué en objet d’un savoir positif. Cette médiation intervient aussi bien dans les sciences impliquant des observations et des mesures que dans le domaine des mathématiques ou dans celui des traitements d’information. J’étudie, dans le cas particulier des modélisations prédictives, quelques conséquences fondamentales de cette médiation : ce qui, au recto, se comprend comme une condition de possibilité, se laisse déchiffrer au verso comme un effet de limitation.
