Manejo quirúrgico de mucocele en paciente lactante. Reporte de un caso

    Los mucoceles son lesiones que aparecen con gran frecuencia en la cavidad bucal, por lo general las podemos encontrar en la cara interna del labio inferior y se originan por una afección de las glándulas salivales menores que se alojan en la zona afectada, causando así una tumefacción tisular formada por moco acumulado tras escapar al tejido conjuntivo a partir de un conducto excretor roto. El presente reporte describe un caso de mucocele, que es considerado inusual debido a que la aparición del mismo fue en un paciente de 4 meses de edad; al ser este un obstáculo en la alimentación del paciente, fue necesaria la realización de un abordaje eficaz que solucionara el problema satisfactoriamente y en la menor brevedad de tiempo posible.

    The mucoceles are lesions that appear with great frequency in the oral cavity, usually we can find them on the inner side of the lower lip and they are caused by a condition of the minor salivary glands that lodge in the affected area, causing a swelling tissue formed by accumulated mucus after escaping the connective tissue from a broken excretory duct. The present report describes a case of mucocele, which is considered unusual because the appearance of it was in a patient of 4 months of age; As this was an obstacle in the patient's diet, it was necessary to carry out an effective approach that solved the problem satisfactorily and in the shortest possible time.
