'Sampleo' de textos coloniales en "Concierto barroco" de Alejo Carpentier

    El presente estudio pone de manifiesto que existen filiaciones entre la producción narrativa de Alejo Carpentier y su ensayística literaria. El ensayo literario de Carpentier, tardío cronológicamente en el conjunto de su obra, desempeña una labor exegética y alumbra técnicas, recursos narratológicos y rasgos escrituitarios que fueron el caldo de cultivo de la novelística autoral. Estructuralmente, la novela carpenteriana  cristaliza en un modelo reconstituido de la crónica de Indias que faculta el ensanchamiento de la historia y su relectura desde otros cauces. La reescritura del pasado permite, según el autor, intervenir la historia en un plano ético y epistémico lo que se resuelve en una reconfiguración del imaginario sociopolítico. Con mi investigación ilustraré el desarrollo teórico de dicho modelo, cuyo valor sistemático el autor  puso de relieve en la conferencia «Papel social del novelista», y, análogamente, rastrearé funcionalmente su realización estética en la novela Concierto barroco.

    The present article reveals the existing filiation between the narrative production of Alejo Carpentier and his literary essays. Carpentier’s literary essay, a late genre in the chronology of his whole corpus, plays an exegetical role and illuminates techniques, narratological resources, and Scriptural traits which were the breeding ground of the authorial novel. From a structural perspective, Carpentier’s novel crystalizes in a model reconfigured from the chronicle of the Indies that allows a broadening of history and its re-reading from different viewpoints. Re-writing the past allows, according to the author, to intervene in history from an ethical and epistemic angle, which resolves itself in a reconfiguring of the sociopolitical imagery. With my research I will illustrate the theoretical development of this model, whose systematic value was highlighted by the author in the conference «The social role of the novelist», while I shall functionally follow the trail of its aesthetic realization in the novel "Concierto barroco.
