    Doce sacerdotes han sido académicos numerarios de la Institución Tello Téllez de Meneses a lo largo de su existencia. Ingresaron por sus méritos y conocimientos literarios. Hace setenta años, cuando se puso en marcha esta institución (llamada así por el obispo que fundó la Universidad de Palencia en el siglo XIII), un tercio de sus miembros eran sacerdotes. Las carreras de todos ellos se revisan brevemente en este trabajo, que también establece que es injusto sugerir que no más sacerdotes deben ingresar al Tello.

    Twelve priests have been numerary academic of the Institution Tello Téllez de Meneses throughout its existence. They entered it because of their literary merits and knowledge. Seventy years ago this institution was launched named after the bishop who founded the University of Palencia in the 13th century a third of its members were priests. The careers of all of them are briefly reviewed in this work, which also states it is unfair to suggest that no more priests should enter the Tello.
