A computer-assisted proof as large as the entire text of Wikipedia is so big it may never be checked by a person. The proof is a step towards solving a puzzle proposed in the 1930s by Paul Erdos. Erdos thought such sequences would always contain at least one sub-sequence--a finite section in which only certain numbers are considered--that sums to a number larger than any one choose. This sum is known as the discrepancy.
