Resumen de New babylon. La guerra en el imaginario de la ciudad del futuro

  El proyecto New Babylon, del artista holandés Constant, planteaba una nueva ciudad para el ciudadano del futuro. Su construcción estaría en manos de nómadas, en una deriva constante, con tecnología a su disposición en una acción lúdica, colectiva y libre. El artículo expone cómo en su proyecto hay claras correspondencias a las acciones de la guerra, y cómo sus vivencias como sobreviviente de la Segunda Guerra Mundial se reflejan en las características más representativas del proyecto. Su imaginario compuesto de diversas fuentes, convergen en New Babylon y en la necesidad de crear un mundo futuro con una cultura que inspirara a las personas a imaginar.Entre la guerra y sus horrores, la promesa de la tecnología y la libertad, marcaron su imaginario para crear e inspirar a otros con New Babylon, la ciudad del futuro que parece actualizarse en la promesa digital del Siglo XXI.

  The New Babylon project, by the Dutch artist Constant, posed a new city for the citizen of the future. Its construction would be in the hands of nomads, in a constant drift, with technology available in a fun, free, and collective action. The article exposes how in his project there are clear correspondences to them actions of the war, and how his experiences as survivor of the Second World War was reflect in the features more representative of the project. His imaginary composed of various sources, art, architecture, the culture Gypsy, travel, converge in New Babylon and in the need of create a world future with a culture that inspire people to imagine.Between the war and the horrors, the promise of technology and the freedom, marked its imaginary for create e inspire to others with New Babylon, the city of the future that ii seems to be updated in the digital promise of XXI Century.
